Climbing the Haytor Rocks at Dartmoor

It was a thrilling experience climbing the Haytor Rocks and exploring a bit of the Dartmoor moorland at the end of last winter. It was cold and definitely wet, but so memorable. I didn’t climb the largest rock, as I appreciate the breath of life, haha! However, I climbed the second-largest rock and was pretty happy.

Here’s a photo collection of my afternoon in Dartmoor and the cute farmer-dog friend we made along the way, who followed us all the way through the moorland.

When I realized how cold it was! Just about 1°C

Moments before noticing that my BF took the long way to the rocks. At this point I was so hopeful, only to realize the steep incline :')

The metal handle bars were freezing cold but really helpful in making your way up the rock.

God bless whomever etched those steps in as well, haha!
