The Hotel Greeting & Staff Experience

We felt welcomed by the friendly, pleasant staff and were invited to pour ourselves a glass of port wine while being checked in at the front desk.

After paying city tax, we made our way up to the suite. It was about two flights of stairs, but thankfully, I didn’t have to take my own suitcase up. Pastel de natas were presented on the dining table when we entered the suite for the first time.

Throughout our stay, all correspondence in person and via WhatsApp chat was courteous and timely. Plus, on our last day, we were left with a lovely handwritten note from the team thanking us for our stay. The warm hospitality was unmatched.

About the Deluxe Panoramic Suite

Here’s why we loved this suite for our stay in Lisbon.

  • Magnificent panoramic view over Baixa Pombalina, Alfama and Rio Tejo,

  • Large room with tall ceilings (42m²)

  • Cosy bedding

  • AC for heating (we didn’t use it, though because the weather was perfectly bright and sunny that week at around 17-20°C in the day and about 10-13°C at night, late January)

  • Great bathroom with everything you need (toothbrush and toothpaste, bathroom slippers, hand soaps, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, bath and hand towels)

  • Ample closet space with dressing gowns

  • Safe

  • Mini Fridge

  • Coffee, tea station with kettle

  • TV with local cable channels

  • Broadband Wi-Fi (decent enough quality on the first floor)

  • Large windows with faux balcony, great natural light (it gave such a romantic vibe and framed the fantastic views we had so beautifully)

  • Delicious, well-stocked breakfast cart, 8:00 AM–10:30 AM (you are asked in advance what time you would like your breakfast to be delivered to your room)

  • Daily housekeeping

  • Sound-proofed rooms

  • Concierge to assist with your luggage when you arrive and leave

  • Smoke-free

  • Hotel rule: No outside food can be brought into the hotel. At first, this was odd, but to be honest, we were out exploring all day and got to familiarize ourselves with the local food, restaurants, and culture.
