Plymouth’s Crown & Anchor, Caffeine Club, & Armando Lounge

Today was a day of Plymouth exploration. We visited the Beyond the Page art exhibition, the Box Museum, and Plymouth Hoe. Of course spending the day wandering about Plymouth meant that we had to eat and drink too! Here’s what I had.

Crown & Anchor

Crown and Anchor was a typical pub-stop type of place. The meals were affordable and decent. I can’t say that it was the best beef burger ever as flavours were mild, but it got the job done and the atmosphere was lively and fun.

St. Luke’s Hospice Charity held a walk/run that day, so the pub crawlers made our visit to Crown & Anchor very entertaining.

Caffeine Club

At Caffeine Club we got everything but caffeine, haha! The 2-for-1 cocktails were a hit! You had to buy 2 of the exact same cocktail to benefit from that deal though. So there we were, three persons with six cocktails on our table.

The best part was that we were able to swap different flavours and try each of the drinks. We ordered the Reggae Rum Punch, Love Peace & Empathy, and Greenhouse Gas cocktails.

The warmly lit diner ambience was relaxing and there were many signs and fun decor pieces to gaze at.

Armando Lounge

For dinner I had the ‘Buttermilk Fried Chicken’ meal which comprised of buttermilk fried chicken breast with house slaw, fries and chipotle mayo. The milkshake complimented the meal really well. Overall it was a tasty, enjoyable meal.
