A Wander about Clevedon Pier, Beach, Marine Lake & Coast Path

Clevedon Pier

It was a rainy day. We had just got done touring Clevedon Court and wanted to wander about Clevedon a bit more. Unfortunately, by the time we got to the pier, it was shut. We were only about twenty minutes shy of closing time, but still took the moment to read all the signs and overlook the pier from a distance.

North Somerset, England Coast Path

Leave it up to my boyfriend to unexpectedly stumble upon an entryway to a coast path. To be fair, I owe all my south-west coast path experience to him, haha! He’s such an adventurer and loves hiking and wander walks, and I love him so I love it too. We hadn’t planned it but nevertheless we went along the path just for a bit, until we realize that it was far too muddy and slippery. Plus, it was getting a bit late and we still wanted to see the opposite end of the pier so we headed back. It was cool to see Cardiff, Wales, off in the hazy distance.

Clevedon Beach

The brown sea water was not the most exciting, and left much to be desired visually, however the pier added a nice touch to the seascape.

Marine Lake

I can only imagine what the marine lake would be like in the summer. Whilst we visited, six people went for a swim, and one guy was practicing rowing. Even in the mid of spring, Marine Lake finds a way to attract the public.

It was a great day overall being able to see some of what Clevedon had to offer.
