Ashburton’s In A Nutshell, Odds & Suds, & Creamo’s Craft Ice-Creams

Today I visited Ashburton for the first time. Ashburton is a quaint market town located in South Devon adjacent to the A38. It is a former stannary town and is the largest town within the Dartmoor national park lines.

Ashburton dates back to the Saxon times and is known for its pubs, inns, coaching houses and shops. In the rural town centre there are many antique shops of art decorative and furniture pieces.

In A Nutshell

One of my favourite antique shops that I looked at, In A Nutshell, had some of the most beautiful furniture pieces, lampshades and more. Had I not already fully furnished my flat, I'd have loved to purchase some of their pieces. If anything, it's inspired me to shop antiques for my future home.

Odds & Suds

Before I relocated to the UK, back home in Trinidad I created my own handmade soaps and soy candles business called Mystee Luxe Aromatics. There's a special place in my heart for natural handmade products and small businesses.

When we passed by Odds & Suds we just had to check out the Suds half of the business name. The soaps smelled heavenly. To me, their ‘Lemongrass, Honey and Oats’ soap stood out the most aromatically, plus it had exfoliating benefits with the oats.

It cost £5 and I've been using it for the past few days. It lathers well and has a great level of moisturising effects for my skin.

After checking a few more antique shops, we purchased a random antique wine bottle opener from East Street Antiques. My partner and I then decided to have some ice-cream.

Creamo’s Craft Ice-Creams

At the end of the trip, we both had a hot cross buns and milky way ice-cream. Absolutely delicious with spot on flavours! Plus the scoops were massive. Two scoops cost about £5. If there’s one place you should definitely stop at in Ashburton, it’s Creamo’s Craft Ice-Creams.

Thanks for checking out the blog! By the way, have you heard about my trip to Lisbon?
